The centre of the town enjoys a long, wide, beautiful tree lined Paseo which is super cool in the summer months under the natural shade, a great place to stop and have a drink in one of the many cafes or bar / restaurants. Many of the streets in Gandia are now pedestrianized ensuring a lovely clean pollution free environment and it is a truly delightful experience to stroll around the town.

Gandia boasts a magnificent award-winning blue flag sandy beach resort which is approx. 1 mile from the town and offers many hotels, lots of amenities including supermarkets, a variety of shops, many bars and restaurants to choose from, discotheques for the teenagers, fun fair for the children, Casino for us adults, health centre, etc. There is also a Club Nautico and Marina here which is open to the general public and offers a very good restaurant serving the fresh catch of the day.

During the long summer months Gandia beach resort is buzzing, it is superbly vibrant as many Spanish families from inland towns own beach apartments and come here for their holidays as the children are off school from mid June to mid September. Even with all these extra families the resort boasts the necessary facilities to home the visitors and never becomes overcrowded.

Gandia is approx. 70kms south of Valencia (50 mins drive) or 125kms north of Alicante (1hr 15mins drive). The A7 motorway provides easy access to either airports or there is the main N332 coastal road for a more picturesque journey.
