found including some popular local bar / restaurants. The beach is
very quiet for most of the year ideal for long walks and then in the
summer months the area is bustling with life as it is filled with
Spanish tourists who have second holiday homes here.
Nearby towns and
Beaches The main market town of Gandia with all amenities
including shopping centers, supermarkets, hypermarkets, bars,
restaurants, banks, schools & university, district general
hospital, sports complexes, large weekly market etc. is just a five
minute picturesque drive via the orange groves. Gandia also boasts an
award winning golden sandy beach (no. 1 resort for Spanish tourism)
with Club Nautico and Marina. The playa of Gandia becomes a thriving
seaside resort for a few months in the summer as do most of the
beaches of La Safor (of which there are many blue flag) and the
remaining months of the year the beaches are very quiet and ideal for
water sports such as wind / kite surfing, canoeing, sailing, water /
jet skiing, horse riding or just long walks along the waters edge in
the winter sunshine.
Golf The
nearest golf course is the Oliva Nova Golf Complex with 18 hole course
designed by Seve Ballesteros, this is a 10 - 15 minute drive and
boasts a beautiful virgin sand dune beach setting. The hotel
facilities here are open to the public and offer superb restaurants
with swimming pools and health spa plus a small commercial center. The
club house overlooks the course and is a very popular 19th hole.
