This is a
truly delightful traditional village house with a superb location in
historic Oliva close to the picturesque and historic church square of
San Roc. As it is, it is habitable, but it would benefit from some minor
modernization throughout, where upon it would be suitable as either a
permanent residence or holiday home, or could even be rented out to
provide an income. Any guests staying here would sure to be delighted
and have an enjoyable time, and would therefore no doubt recommend on
the area and property to friends and family as a must to visit.
Many
amenities can be found in the new town of Oliva which is a few minutes
walk from the house through picturesque historic streets. There are many
shops, large supermarkets, numerous bars & restaurants, banks,
schools, doctors, large health clinic, large sports complex with
all facilities, plus a weekly street market selling hardware, clothes
and more importantly locally grown fruit and vegetables etc. at
amazingly cheap prices. There are other amenities closer to the house
which are available within the church square including small Spar
supermarket, very popular local bar / restaurant, butchers, bakers etc.
The peaceful and unspoilt sand dune beach of Oliva is a few minutes
drive (or there is a regular local bus service) and boasts its own Club
Nautico and Marina with large beach front swimming pool and a popular
restaurant open to the general public serving the fresh catch of the
day. Much of Oliva beach is now protected from further development
preserving the wildlife on the dunes and the natural beauty of the area.
The Oliva Nova Golf Complex with 18-hole course designed by Seve
Ballesteros and driving range is a five minute drive south of the town
and also boasts a beautiful virgin sand dune beach setting. The club
house overlooks the course and is open to the general public and there
is a very popular restaurant with swimming pools and a health spa.
This cozy
traditional house offers 30m2 per floor which is deceptively spacious
and boasts a superb and very central location in the old town. This is a
very sunny house possibly due to the fact that it is situated at the
entrance to the street in front therefore enjoys views a long way down
the street. The overall general condition of the house is remarkably
good considering it has not been lived in for a while, floor tiles are
dark traditional Valencian, windows are new, the roof is also new, the
kitchen is basic but workable, the shower room is nicely charming and
the whole house has been recently decorated. There is a split level
pavement immediately outside, an ideal view point for observing the many
processions which pass by throughout the year. There is parking on one
of the roads nearby and the accomm. briefly comprises of:
Ground floor: Open plan design with entrance hall having a wide arch
through to the dining room and a further smaller arch to the lounge
which is open plan with the kitchen. There is a store room under the
stairs which lead out from the kitchen to the:
First floor:
Large landing / interim bedroom 2, large sunny master bedroom 1 with
high and sloped beamed ceiling and remains of historic arches visible to
the front wall, plus a shower room. There is a small roof terrace with
laundry area with steps leading up to:
Second
floor: Good size roof terrace with superb views of the two churches San
Roc and Santa Maria with bell and clock towers and blue domed roofs,
historic Oliva with its array of irregular rooftops and part of the
historic castle perched on the hillside behind the town.
