This is a traditional
style village house which boasts a superbly sunny and breezy corner
position on a very wide but quiet road centrally located in the sleepy
village of Montixelvo. The property is mainly reformed and is maintained
in excellent condition throughout and is suitable to move into, however
it would benefit from some improvements and possible extensions to the
bathroom and kitchen, both are clean and serviceable but are basic and
very small.
Maintaining much of its typical Valencian
character and having some beamed ceilings conserved, rustic style floor
tiling fitted, some arches, internal dark pine woodwork and huge double
pitch pine entrance doors of true Valencian style. With these doors open
the views from the lounge are nice and wide open down the wide street
with other traditional style houses in view, a superb area to witness
sleepy village life from.
Montixelvo is approx. 26
kms / 20 min drive inland from Gandia through stunning country side
overflowing with orange groves. This sleepy village is very picturesque
and very tranquil and there are many local amenities including small
shops, bar / restaurants, public swimming pool etc. all within moments
stroll of the property. The vast open country side is also nearby with
orange groves stretching to the nearby hillside. Montixelvo is
surrounded by breath taking country side with views that stretch for
miles and miles and the nearby mountains are perfect for outdoor
activities. Enthusiasts come to this area for mountain biking, hiking,
rock climbing etc. Plus there are numerous blue flag sandy beaches
within 20mins drive of the property which are always appealing. Many
people now like to escape the crowds on the coast yet still be within
easy reach, Montixelvo being absolutely ideally located for this. There
is also a huge fresh water lake near here at Beniarres which is just a
15 min drive over the hillside on a very good but twisty road. The
lake is popular with local fishermen and also with families on picnic
outings.
More major facilities can be found in the
neighboring small town of Castelo de Rugat which is approx. a 4 minute
drive and provides many more amenities that cannot be found in
Montixelvo including many shops, weekly street market, schools, doctors,
health centre, banks, bars, restaurants, plus a very popular Spanish
owned Irish theme bar with restaurant serving excellent food etc.
Gandia is the main town
of La Safor and is on the coast with all amenities of a city plus an
award winning golden sandy beach (the no.1 resort for Spanish tourism)
with Club Nautico and Marina, here are many popular bars and restaurants
and discotecas for the younger generation. The beach area is very quiet
for most of the year therefore superb for long peaceful walks, horse
riding, various water sports or private sunbathing. The properties on
the beach are mainly holiday homes owned by Spanish who come from the
inland towns to escape the heat whilst the children have their school
holidays in the summer months. During this period the Playa of Gandia is
absolutely overflowing with life, party atmosphere and fiestas. There
are other numerous blue flag sandy beaches along this coast line which
are mostly very quiet family beaches.
